Sue Stack's ceramic exhibition will have you smiling for weeks. Two years in the making, it's Stack's first solo outing and if you find life a little too serious at the moment, this exhibition will certainly help you back on track. As fun-filled as her show is, the artist has injected a little thought here and there and some of it can be found on closer scrutiny. What is it about? Well, one of the ladies is titled "Whaddya looking at?" giving you the mean eye while still flaunting her curves at you. Flamboyant, curvaceous, teasing, taunting and just plain flirting with the audience, Stack's ladies are bigger than life, taking the micky out of gender interaction. Indeed they are magnifying what we commonly call "audacious". Ready for some fun? It is up the stairs in Salamanca Art Centre and turn sharp left. You can't miss it. |
